The story of this website began over 15 years ago, when Richard had an idea for a game. His dream was to educate children and young adults about the periodic table of elements.

Over the years, life took over and his idea was put on the back burner. However, he never forgot about it. Fast forward a few years and I received a phone call from Nicole – a key player in this story. While I was on the top deck of the number 2 bus to Brighton, heading for a meeting, Nicole and I chatted. Being a bit of a geek myself, Nicole could hear the excitement I already had for the project. Within days, Richard, Nicole and myself were sat around a table. Ideas flowed and plans were made. The result? Well, see for yourself.

Website project – Honey Bees Online

This is my other business. This site promotes, and sells live colonies of Honey Bees to new beekeepers, wanting their first hives, and to existing beekeepers, who want to increase their stocks. The eCommerce software “WooCommerce” is installed, which allows visitors to order, and pay a deposit for their livestock.

This website has been around longer that the Brighton WebTech site. One day, I’ll have the time to redesign it. However, the site is doing well. In fact, it brings in more business than I can handle. Happy bees, happy beekeeper.

Website project – Radio 4A

Radio 4A is the longest underground radio station in Brighton. Established in 1996, it’s run by an enthusiastic band of presenters. The brief was for a minimal interface, with the focus on the play button, linked to the live stream of the station.

With regular live events, and an active listener base, this was an interesting project to work on. I’m still in regular contact with them, and visit them in their studio when I can. Feeling part of the team.
